A luminous Asscher-cut rose quartz suspended within a hand-fabricated 14k gold cube. Inspired by crystalline energy and futuristic architecture, the open framework allows light to reach the stone from every direction, illuminating the geometric steps of its Asscher cut.
At its center is a one-of-a-kind, untreated 13.14-carat natural rose quartz from South Africa, measuring approximately 15×15 mm. Each section of the surrounding gold structure was formed, assembled, and polished by hand.
This is currently the most complex piece I offer, requiring the cube to be deformed/reformed to tight tolerances while the stone is inserted. The rose quartz is then submersed underwater while the gold frame is permanently sealed shut, protecting the quartz from cracking and decoloring due to the high heat that is used to melt gold.
The tolerances of the cube allow the stone to move around freely within the cube, without any possibility of falling out.
Can be worn as a pendant, charm, or even an earring if you don’t mind the weight.
